One of the highlights of Vung Ong Vien is the towering rock walls, ancient caves with thousands of-year-old rock formations. Have you ever wondered what thousands of-year-old rock walls look like? Vung Ong Vien Rock Beach has stood proudly in the middle of the sea for over a thousand years. Standing before the solemn, mysterious presence of the cave rock walls, you will feel and understand the miraculous and majestic beauty of Mother Nature.

The trekking tour to Vung Ong Vien will take you to the rare, untouched beauty. This is the most beautiful rock beach in the northern region because it is preserved intact with primeval forests and many rare seafood species of Vietnam. In particular, littering is completely prohibited on Cô Tô Island.

Trekking through diverse forest terrains, crossing the river by a ferry pulled entirely by human power, enjoying mountain-style BBQ, and experiencing sunrise and sunset over the sea, along with countless other interesting experiences, await you.

The best time to visit Bidoup is from December to April, during the spring and dry season.

• This trek is relatively challenging, with many slippery rock walls, suitable for guests with trekking experience/good physical fitness. According to Vung Ong Vien’s regulations:
• Do not accept children under 12 years old.
• Children from 12-15 years old will be charged an additional 300,000 VND/child to have an extra tour guide accompanying them during trekking.

• This is the estimated departure schedule; the actual departure schedule depends on the Covid situation and weather conditions at the departure time. Co To Adventure Travel will notify you at least 5 days in advance if the tour has to be postponed due to force majeure (epidemics, natural disasters, traffic…), and you will be able to postpone the tour without any fees or receive a 100% refund if you cannot postpone the tour to the new departure date.
• The tour departs with a minimum of 6 guests; 2 days before departure, if the tour does not reach the required number, it will be postponed to another date or a 100% refund will be given.
• The itinerary and expected food may change depending on objective conditions.
• Limited alcohol consumption on all Co To Adventure Travel’s tours; if needed, please inform in advance.
• Fitness: This trek is relatively difficult, with slippery rock walls. Guests are advised to jog/climb stairs/squat about 3-4 times a week for 2 weeks, each time for about 30 minutes. The tour requires good fitness and health. Those with a history of heart disease/high blood pressure, fever, pregnancy, or health issues will not be allowed to participate.
• Weather: From December to April is the best time for mountain trekking. In spring, with dry weather, little rain, and warmth, it is suitable for travel. Avoid planning to explore Vung Ong Vien from July to September due to heavy rains that can occur anytime, making the journey on rocky shores and sea ice more difficult.
• Phone signal: There is no phone signal in the forest, and the signal is intermittent on the beach.

• All customers must commit to complying with safety regulations during the tour here.
• Since the tour accommodates a maximum of 20 guests, please book at least 15 days in advance to secure your spot!

  Items to Bring
• Fitness: Jog for 10-15 days before departure; you should be able to run 5km to trek comfortably in the forest.
• Long sports pants for trekking, 2-3 pairs of high socks, 1 jacket due to slightly cold weather (about 15 degrees).
• Shoes with good grip, quick-drying, backpack with support straps.
• 1 set of clothes to bathe and change in the evening before getting on the bus back to the hotel (you can leave this set on the bus without carrying it for trekking to reduce weight).
• Personal items: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, power bank, medicine, personal hygiene items, D.E.P ointment, 500ml personal water bottle.
• Snacks/apples or energy bars to provide immediate energy for the body during trekking. You can order energy bars here.
• Batwing raincoat/raincoat (because you can catch a cold quickly when trekking in the rain).
